Sandpile Creations  created  for LVISD's 2010 Exemplary Status.

Day 1 - CONSTRUCTION BEGINS! - August 30th
11:00 am

Wow!...the progress is being made. The forms for the foundation have been laid.
What will the sculpture be? Check back tomorrow for
more updated pics and maybe you'll figure it out.
However, even though a picture is worth a thousand words...
we encourage everyone to come by the Lago Vista Elementary School
and see for yourself the work being put in by Brad of Sandpile Creations.
And while you're there introduce yourself and let him know
how much you appreciate his contribution.

Day 2 - CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES - August 31st

The top form has been removed and the sculpture starts to take shape in the
morning. Brad and crew are diligently at work taking a formed shape of raw material and
transforming it into a masterpiece. By mid-afternoon, subtle shapes are visible and a slew
of Lago Vista Elementary School students are beginning to see what is transforming
and their questions are as endless as the possibilites of what the finished sculpture
will be. Ultimately as days end approaches and Brad finishes for the day...you can start
to see the vision this talented artist will deliver to our community.

Day 3 - CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES - September 1st

Day 3 started out as usual with Brad Goll of Sandpile Cretions continuing his spectacular work.
As the day went along, amazing progress was made and was accentuated by a visit from
Bettie Cross of local CBS affiliate KEYE TV's "We Are Austin Live" program.
Thank you Bettie and KEYE TV for your support of our Jonestown & Lago Vista local community.

Day 4 - CONSTRUCTION IS ALMOST COMPLETE - September 2nd

AMAZING! Sand Sculptor Brad Goll is almost complete with his sculpture at days end.
There are a few minor details left to address which will only
take an hour or so to complete.
Friday morning, Sept. 3rd at 10:00 am is the official unveiling of his finished masterpiece and we encourage everyone to drop by
and attend this event and convey their thanks to him for
his supreme devotion of time and artistry to this incredible endeavor.

Early this morning, Jim Swift of KXAN TV fame came out to document the efforts
and produced a very muchly appreciated segment which aired
on KXAN's 5pm Thursday broadcast.
Thank you Jim and KXAN for you support of our local
Jonestown & Lago Vista Texas community.
